Repeat Misplay Policy 2025
At The Game Chamber, it is our Number 1 priority to provide a fun, inclusive, and healthy competitive environment for our players. First and foremost, the fun is found in taking part, but hey… It’s nice to win, too! But when winning is so important for some players that they bend the rules to make it happen, this creates an unpleasant environment for their fellow community members.
When we run tournaments, our Tournament Organizers and Judges are always well-versed in the individual games’ rules and play correction guidelines, and we pride ourselves on dealing with any infractions swiftly and correctly. Unfortunately, repeat issues across multiple events often aren’t something covered within these guidelines.
To address this issue, The Game Chamber has introduced an ‘Intentional Repeated Misplay Policy’ that will log and monitor infractions across multiple events and deal with players with patterns of repeated issues.
- This Policy will not replace individual games’ rules or correction policies; individual infractions will still be dealt with within the game's own structure on an event-to-event basis.
- This Policy is implemented as of 15th May 2025, but has been retroactively applied to past offenses from certain players, resulting in their removal from competitive events. These players have been contacted privately. At this time, The Game Chamber has no plans to publicly name players affected by this policy
- This Policy is for internal use only; please continue to report misplays and rule violations in the manner that your games’ rules lay out.
